Mary teaches both Yoga and Pilates classes. In this Pilates class, she enjoys teaching Pilates because she likes the feeling of control in her breathing patterns and inner core stability. She would like to share a quote from 1st Generation Pilates Teacher, Jay Grimes: “It is about strength with a two-way stretch, focusing on a system of six reigning principals as follows: Concentration, Alignment, Core Connection, Stabilization, Mobilization and Breathing”. Those principals will be performed in class and over time practitioners will master muscular balance, coordination, correct posture, strengthening of the lungs, suppleness increased circulation, injury prevention and rehabilitation, restoration of vitality and elevation of spirit. You will be free of habitual patterns to a brand new body.
Sandra Augusta, Hatha Yoga Teacher, Mondays 9.30-10.45am & Thursdays 6.00-7.15pm
Sandra Auguste has been studying and practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha yoga since 2009. She is a certified Yoga Teacher by Master Nicky Knoff. After many years spent in the IT corporate world, helping customers around the globe, she realised the importance of finding the inner peace for a better Life & Work harmony. She is fully committed to the Health & Well-being. She teaches various Yoga styles: from dynamic flow supported by Vinyasa to slow and restorative flow where postures are held for longer time. Her teaching method focuses on correct alignment and energy flow, incorporating Pranayama and Meditation techniques. Her classes are suitable for all levels with variations and modifications offered throughout the class.
